vernon avenue single-channel video, 2008 Vernon Avenue is single-channel video installation and children's book that considers the mythologies that inform cinematic representations of urban communities. Through a series of documentary and improvised encounters featuring our friends and neighbors, we construct and deconstruct familiar scenes of Brooklyn community life, blurring the distinction between realistic and fantastic images.
